As we continue to deliver & evolve, we are looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team.

About the role – Location Flexible – Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth

The Contract Administrator is responsible for the upstream and downstream contractual administration of goods, materials, and services to support the project achieve their quality, time, and cost targets with minimal risk.

Working under the guidance of the Project Manager and Commercial Manager, the role is responsible for delivering the commercial operational commitments of the project in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.

You will

Manage and perform the contract administration responsibilities for the project

Prepare all payment claims ensuring on-time submission and accuracy in accordance with the head contract and securities of payment legislation

Support and co-ordinate the review and timely approval (or dispute) of payment claims submitted by key subcontractors to the project

Manage and monitor contract securities, insurances, claims and variations under the head contract and key subcontracts

Lead the administration of subcontracts to support the project achieve its cost, time, and quality targets

Work in conjunction with Project Manager, Design Manager and Construction Manager to ensure on time delivery of all goods and services

Support the development and maintenance of monthly internal and external project progress reporting in accordance with the “UGL Way” and the requirements of the contract, which may include productivity reporting, S-curves and earned value management ratios

Assist the Project Manager with forecasting of revenue and costs

Provide cash flow and cost information to finance

Conduct preliminary commercial evaluation of tenders from subcontractors and manage tender clarifications by liaising with Project Managers and tenderers

Support the Project Commercial Manager prepare agreements for supply and works subcontracts for long term supply of materials and services by Analysing risks in relation to the product or service being procured and providing input into the negotiation of contract terms with preferred vendors in accordance with UGL Procurement Policy

Essential

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Contracts Administration or similar position.

Experience in the use of AS forms of contract

Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally

Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands

Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, email

Advanced skills in MS Excel

Experience of SAP Software / accounting and associated reporting desirable
