Description:

The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a Full-Time Coordinator, Baseball Administration for the Baseball Operations department. This position will report to the General Manager and be responsible for baseball administration, managing correspondence, and coordinating with others across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day activities of the Baseball Operations department, project management, research, and communications

Responsible for baseball administration in eBIS including processing player transactions, updating roster information, Player College Scholarship programs, and managing employee contracts

Provide administrative support for the Amateur Draft. including creation of player files, facilitating signing of term sheets, and ensuring payment of bonuses

Facilitate incoming scout ticket requests during the regular post season for visiting clubs

Manage external correspondence on behalf of the Baseball Operations department in a timely and professional manner

Collaborate with Payroll and People Operations to ensure appropriate payroll processing and proper employment practices are followed

Complete Executive Assistant tasks for the GM and Sr Advisor to Ownership as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or applicable relevant experience required

Strong and professional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

Expertise in Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, and Adobe Acrobat

Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and able to effectively prioritize and manage projects

Excellent analytical and research skills

The Oakland Athletics carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $70,000 to $75,000 total compensation and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience and other factors the Oakland Athletics consider relevant to the hiring decision.
