Position: Coordinator, Performance Improvement

Description

Job Summary:

The PI Coordinator provides administrative support to the Director of Performance Improvement and other department staff. They perform various administrative and clerical duties to ensure smooth operations. The coordinator also analyzes data related to hospital quality and performance initiatives as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification: None

Experience:

At least two years’ experience in a clerical or similar role.

At least two years’ experience working with healthcare data, data abstraction, data entry, medical coding, or other performance improvement activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective communication skills in English.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency with MS Office, database/data analytical skills, and ability to learn new software quickly.

Familiarity with electronic health records.

High accuracy with minutes and PowerPoint presentations.

Ability to provide consultative and analytical support, including design, implementation, coordination, and data querying to support clinical improvement efforts.

Additional Requirements: Valid NC Driver’s License. If driving a Wayne UNC vehicle, must be 21 years old and MVR approved by Risk Management.
