As a Corrections Mail Inspector for the DOC, you are responsible for the proper handling of incoming and outgoing mail. In this position you open and examine inmate letters and packages to prevent the transmission of contraband material and coordinate the delivery of items with various institutional entities (libraries, chapels, etc.). In addition, you deliver publications, magazines, and packages to the SCI.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Salary:Â In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of clerical experience, including one year in the field of corrections;Â or
Any combination of experience and/or training which provides the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Additional Requirement:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

You must pass a background investigation.
