Summary
The Customer Service Representative provides exceptional customer service and supports the Solid Waste business office in day-to day activities. Handles a variety of administrative tasks, including processing requests by phone and email for a high-volume office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs clerical and customer services duties including answering telephone and handling requests for service

Interacts with customers and visitors by phone, email, and in-person

Monitors vehicles as they enter the scale to be weighed

Enters daily data for productivity reports, scale/weight tickets and landfill costs

Communicates customer requests and concerns with the business office, field operations, and office staff

Monitors new customer accounts to verify billing code; contacts customers to verify the number of containers and creates work orders for new sets and / or pickups

Performs receptionist duties such as scheduling, filing, and data entry for billing and reporting

Prepares reports and records as assigned

Composes correspondence and mail for general code violations and customer compliance

Follows policy, procedures, and safety guidelines

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office
