Company Description:

Deck Customs Broker is a licensed customs brokerage and logistics company that help businesses and individuals navigate the import and export process by providing customs clearance, freight forwarding, haulage, and trade consultancy services. We work closely with the Jamaica Customs Agency to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with local regulations. Our goal is to provide reliable, professional, and timely solutions that make international trade simple and hassle-free for our clients.

Job Duties:

  • Provide general administrative and office support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Execute customs import documentation using the ASYCUDA system and maintain accurate information within the system.
  • Prepare invoices, business correspondence, and other administrative documents.
  • Assist with vehicle import documentation and related customs processes.
  • Follow up on import entries to ensure timely customs clearance and successful delivery execution.
  • Liaise with clients, customs authorities, shipping agents, and other stakeholders regarding shipment status and documentation requirements.
  • Monitor pending transactions and provide timely status updates to management and clients.
  • Assist with additional customs brokerage, administrative, and operational duties as required. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in Business Administration, Logistics, Customs Administration, or a related field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of and experience using the ASYCUDA system is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with customs import procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Understanding of vehicle importation processes..
  • Strong customer service and follow-up skills.
