This position is full-time (38.75 hours) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6:00am – 6:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Batches, reviews and performs quality control checks on charge documents/encounter forms in preparation for charge entry.
  • As required, performs basic CPT/ICD-10 charge entry.
  • Enter charges and other related data into Epic within accuracy and productivity levels set by Supervisor.
  • Orders office supplies for Revenue Ops team.
  • Scans all coding and payment posting batches into Epic. Shreds paper when scan is complete.
  • Sorts mail and distribute as needed.
  • Orphan Index clerical support.
  • Prints and mail appeals for follow up coding team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Supports other departments within Revenue Operations with on-site tasks.
  • Run credit card payments received from patients and from insurance companies.
  • Sorts and alphabetizes claims in morning claim run.
  • Returned mail for Registration.
  • Receives deliveries from UPS and Staples.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.
  • Comply with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Lives within a communicable distance of 385 Grove St Worcester MA
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6:00am – 6:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical office setting
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must demonstrate a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers and co-workers.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 – $25.05 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
