PURPOSE

To assist with various HR functions including recruitments, onboarding, training and administrative tasks. Provides practical HR experience and a learning opportunity to gain insights into HR practices and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Responsible for administrative tasks in the HR department including but not limited to:

· Review applications and screen resumes to identify potential candidates to fill open roles throughout the company

· Complete phone interviews with applicants

· Schedule in-person interviews with candidates

· Assist HR Specialist on job postings on job boards

· Assist Director of HR on scheduling executive panel interviews

· Provide candidates with rejection letters or job offers

· Assist HR dpeartment on organizing company events

· File HR documents

· Assist on gathering new hire performance evaluations

· Assist in review of approved leave forms

· Maintain personnel records in compliance with laws

· Ensure compliance with Labor Law postings at all locations

· Maintain confidentiality at all times

· Provide excellent customer service

· Complete special projects

· Manage multiple duties simultaneously

· Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times

· Crosstrain and assist in any HR functions as needed or required

· Perform other duties as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Current 4-year college student obtaining a degree in HR Management, psychology or pre-law

· 1+ year of experience working in an office environment

· 0-1 year experience in human resources

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

· Excellent data entry and typing skills preferred

· Human Resources experience preferred

· Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and problem-solver

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and react to change productive levels

· Ability to navigate multiple computer systems

· Ability to work on tasks independently or in a team environment

· Excellent attendance

· Must possess well-developed communication and organizational skills

· Enthusiastic and motivated to take initiative

· Detail oriented

· Punctual

· Teamwork/Collaboration

· Proficient in MS Suite

· Must demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job as specified in the job description.

· Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time.

· May be occasionally required to exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

· The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc;

· Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor.

· Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.

· Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 per hour
