Full Job Description
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
Sample Accessioning: Accurately log patient specimens into our laboratory information system, ensuring all data is entered promptly and correctly. This includes verifying patient information, test orders, and specimen labels.
Quality Control: Perform routine checks to guarantee that all entries are accurate and complete. Report any discrepancies or issues to the laboratory supervisor immediately.
Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory technicians and other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely processing of specimens.
Confidentiality: Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and laboratory policies to maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to the improvement of laboratory operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or certification in a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in data entry, preferably in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent typing skills and proficiency with laboratory information systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, if required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
