The position is primarily responsible for the administration and maintenance of the bank database system. The position is also responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of these databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs and implements an efficient and scalable bank database system.
- Recommends an appropriate database management system and optimizes database performance.
- Ensures the security and integrity of the bank databases.
- Establishes and enforces access control measures, data encryption, and monitoring database activity for potential security breaches.
- Creates backup and disaster recovery plans to protect the bank's data in case of hardware failures, human errors, or other emergencies.
- Oversees data migration and integration projects for new bank systems or upgrades.
- Tracks database performance and responds to escalated issues.
- Keeps abreast of the current trend and best practices in database administration to maintain consistency and efficiency in supporting the business operations.
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of Computer-related, Engineering or Math-related courses
- At least three (3) years of work-related experience in database administration preferably from a bank or financial services industry
- Amenable to work in Makati City
