Role: Database Administration,
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- ITIL Process Support: Assist in implementing and following ITIL processes such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management under guidance.
- Incident Handling: Log incidents, perform initial checks on Azure resources and databases, and escalate issues to senior engineers when required.
- Technical Exposure: Gain hands-on experience in Azure administration and database basics (SQL/DB2 preferred) while learning OS fundamentals.
- Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting for database connectivity, backup status, and Azure resource alerts with team support.
- Infrastructure Services: Support routine tasks for Azure services and database maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution and updates.
- Cloud Knowledge: Focus on Azure administration tasks such as resource monitoring, user access, and assist in deployments; learn database administration fundamentals.
- Security Basics: Assist in applying basic security hardening for Azure and database environments.
