KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain standards of service levels at all times, ensure response with timeframe and manage all services availability in relation of the dependant Data Center components
- Analyse and determine appropriate design and layout of all equipment in data centers considering all environmental factors according to the international Standards
- Ensures that the Activities and assigned tasks to DC Admin, Data Center technologies Vendors are being conducted effectively and according the agreed standards and quality level
- In coordination with all technology service providers and IT teams, manage the implementation approach and schedule suitable to ADIB to protect the Data centres from any operational availability impact
- Monitors Infrastructure and Collocation hardware and its supporting software to ensure a high level of hosted services availability.
- Propose any required enhancement for the data centers environmental components to insure the highest level of DC availability and security
- Analyze and determine appropriate design and layout of all equipment in considering all environmental factors according to the international Standards
- ensure that all Hosted Data Center Services are operational effectively and as per the agreed SLA
- Monitor and supervise all data center Infrastructure and Facilities
- Assist all IT teams in installations and removal of data center hardware as per requirement.
- Document all power and space schematics and ensure accuracy in same.
- Maintain data center administration team knowledge and awareness of new technologies related to data centers
- Monitor data center assets for tracking information.
- Coordinate with vendors and resource engineers and ensure effective completion of all installation hardware at various data centers.
- Oversaw capacity planning, perform power audits and ensure appropriate supply of power to all equipment.
- Supervise the achievement of tasks assigned to data center administration team.
- Monitor all issues and escalate issue to appropriate level to ensure effective resolution.
- Analyse appropriate information and data in order to prepare schedules, plans and forecasts.
- Create capacity plans which meet business targets and optimize production efficiency and costs
- Assess existing capacity and draw up forecasts based on future plans for demand.
- Analyse specifications and capacities and undertake appropriate calculations to estimate required capacities, in terms of compute resources, storage, network and facilities.
- Continually monitor and review plans and make appropriate adjustments in the event of changes and unforeseen circumstances
- Reconcile variances from original plans and maintain a view of actual against forecasted projects
- Continually review capacity plans in which to make improvements to make capacity planning more efficient.
- Utilise knowledge and research methods to drive best practice results.
- Design and maintain capacity performance reports and statistics to share with internal stakeholders and provide information as required in relation to ADIB metrics and updates.
- Control current capacities in order to maintain the availability and performance of services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Min 8 years’ experience. In the data center implementation and operation.
Job Specific Skills
- Good experience in networking and infrastructure hardware/software technologies
- Understanding of IT industry working practices / methodologies – ITIL Knowledge
- ITIL Foundation knowledge
- Knowledge with Data centre facilities implementation/operation standards
- documentation and schematic drawing skills
