Dispatch – All Locations Job Description

Contractor Transport is looking for dispatchers to support the full time dispatch center. This position will work extended hours on a weekly basis. Nights and weekends will be required. Below is a summary of what the job entails.

Job Profile and Description

The position is responsible for dispatching oil field trucks in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. Dispatcher will be assigning drivers to the daily schedule and providing accurate directions to well site locations or facilities. Dispatcher communicates with drivers via phone, GPS and computer networks. A high level of customer service is essential. Dispatcher will work 12 hour shifts 4 days on 3 days off from 6pm – 6am. Dispatcher may also be assigned to work weekends, nights and holidays.

Key Duties and Responsibilities for a Contractor Transport Dispatcher

* Coordinating, scheduling and communicating information to drivers, crew and field personnel, as well as organizing and tracking relevant information according to customer demands.

* Preparing forms from billings, statements, invoices, receipts, or vendor data, including processing delivery tickets and entering issue slips for customers using different billing procedures.

* Maintaining paperwork and bill of ladings, daily time and material tickets

* Download of ELD data from database, review for compliance and organize in CT electronic file system.

* Keeping proper record of all jobs in work log according to established guidelines

* Answer incoming phone calls and/or inquiries, maintain and providing positive and effective service to both internal and external customers.

* Making arrangements for shipping and delivery to ensure orders are properly handled.

* Preparing and processing orders and maintaining all necessary supplies.

* Communicates with customers, area managers, drivers, and other personnel throughout shift to facilitate dispatch operations

* Manage call volume, software tracking systems, and email throughout shift

* Dispatches loads to drivers within the region in compliance with DOT regulations, company policies and procedures

* Monitors and validates accuracy of dispatch entries

* Assign, direct, and track vehicles movement in designated software, ensuring established goals are met or exceeded

* Establish routes to meet the needs of the dispatched loads

* Uses computer systems to look up lease numbers, tank numbers, leases by name, leases by operator, barrel allocation by destination and ticket number.

* Utilizes computer and telephones to move destination allocations and other needs as requested.

* Maintain master truck list and ensure it is updated and accurate.

* Provides accurate accident, safety and other reports as required

* Dispatcher will watch dash camera systems throughout the day to ensure compliance with USDOT and company requirements.

* Dispatcher will document CT write ups and any deficiencies. Warnings will be given to operations manager on a daily / weekly basis.

* Dispatcher will constantly monitor weather and road conditions and communicate with Operations and Safety throughout the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
