Delivery Truck Driver – Non CDL Jobs in San Jose, CA at Ferguson Enterprises, LLC
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Drives PDCC owned vehicles to transport passengers and their luggage.
Picks up passengers at prearranged locations.
Assists passengers with entering and exiting vehicles and assists with any luggage.
Ensures passengers reach their destinations safely and on time.
Observes safety regulations and state laws regarding vehicle operation; ensures passengers also follow applicable safety regulations
Communicates with the Director of Lodging & Concierge to receive requests for passenger service and additional availability
Ensures vehicle equipment such as brakes, lights, windshield wipers, etc., is maintained and operating properly
Reports vehicle problems to the Director of Lodging & Concierge or Grounds Mechanics
Submits accident reports when needed
Conducts routine maintenance on vehicles including adding gasoline, oil, and water and checking tire pressure; ensures more specialized maintenance and repairs are performed/scheduled
Performs other related duties as required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid Drivers License and a clean record
Excellent driving skills
Thorough understanding of traffic regulations, road signs, and routes
Ability to effectively and professionally deal with members, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse tense situations and upset members and guests
Ability to achieve positive member relations and maximize member satisfaction
PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:
Physically able to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time
Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Ability to perform the duties of this job while exposed to outside weather conditions.
Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.
Due to the cyclical nature of our industry, Club Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the company’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities. Associates who violate the rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
