Unit Secretary – Emergency Department

Fast-paced, high volume Emergency Department Unit is looking for top skilled Unit Secretary. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours:
Full Time, 36 hours/week.
Three 12-hour Evening shifts per week, 11:00am – 11:00pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Emergency Department highlights:

High volume, high acuity Emergency Department that is the starting point for 65,000+ patients annually as we function as a Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Heart Attack Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and major tertiary care hospital for the entire DFW Metroplex and beyond.
Very engaged Unit Based Council that helps with working out operational goals.

Here’s What You Need

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
No experience required.
Emergency Department experience preferred.
Customer Service experience preferred.
Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

What You Will Do

ORGANIZATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers.
Demonstrates acceptable organizational skills.
Communicates effectively.
Interactions include consideration for patient population specific needs.
Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.
