Job Description

Position serves as the South Central Administrative Assistant, to the District Manager assisting in aligning, directing, implementing, and monitoring Michigan’s Child Welfare reform activities in the local Child Welfare office. This position will be assisting the District Manager in the areas of child welfare, as well as provide assistance in the alignment of child welfare programs and their policies to improve client services, program outcomes, and quality, to achieve the child welfare improvement goals. The South Central Administrative Analyst will assist in the review of data and quality assurance reports in conjunction with federal requirements, as well as requirements of the Modified Settlement Agreement (MSA) that will be coordinated with internal and external stakeholders.

This position also functions as the Data Analyst for the Child & Family Services South Central District office reporting to the District Manager. The South Central Administrative Analyst works congruently with the management team representing the district at administration, county, and community meetings and events. The primary objective of this position is to assist and advise the management team of the district’s staffing and client needs through research and analysis by identifying barriers, providing strategies, making recommendations, and monitoring the results of the recommendations. This data reporting impacts management’s decisions, initiatives, and planning.

The South Central Administrative Analyst is responsible for developing and monitoring district-wide projects and corrective actions plans, providing strategic and operational planning, and performing cost analysis. These decisions have district, administration, and county-wide effects. This South Central Administrative Analyst acts as the liaison to the community and is responsible for the assessment and coordination of targeted training.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.

Experience
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
