Liberty House, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a full-time Administrative Assistant and Event Coordinator. Liberty House helps homeless and struggling Veterans by connecting them to available resources and providing a safe, substance-free transitional house. Our mission is to remember, honor, and support our veterans.
The Administrative Assistant and Event Coordinator plays a key role in daily operations and is the first contact that Veterans, donors, volunteers and various visitors will encounter. This position performs a variety of tasks including managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining accurate records and databases, supporting project and fundraising efforts, and handling internal and external communications.

Duties:
Serve as the initial point of contact for Veterans, donors, stakeholders, and the general public, providing exemplary customer service that reflects the organization’s values of professionalism, empathy, and inclusivity in every interaction.
Oversee and execute front office operations with efficiency and attention to detail, including multi-line phone system management, appointment scheduling, correspondence drafting, record keeping, and document filing.
Process all incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring prompt and accurate distribution to appropriate recipients.
Manage the organization’s shared calendar within MS Outlook; coordinate internal and external meetings, facility tours, new resident interviews, and special events to support seamless organizational operations. Prepare agendas, take meetings notes and track action items as needed.
Develop and publish engaging, mission-aligned content across Liberty House’s social media platforms to increase public awareness, promote events, and drive community engagement.
Provide direct support to Veterans and donors utilizing the pantry and donation center; facilitate and process transactions through the point-of-sale system as necessary.
Actively support donor stewardship by identifying engagement opportunities and contributing to long-term donor cultivation strategies through consistent communication, impact storytelling, and meaningful recognition efforts.
Plan, organize, and execute fundraising and community events, overseeing logistics such as venue coordination, catering, A/V setup, printed materials, volunteer support, and donor database tracking.
Contribute to the creation and dissemination of high-quality promotional, fundraising, and campaign materials to strengthen brand visibility and donor engagement.
Requirements:
A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED required, Associates or additional education preferred.
Valid Driver’s License
Prior experience providing similar services in a similar environment preferred.
