JOB SUMMARY
The Retirement Plan Administration (RPA) team is responsible for the compliance testing, government reporting, plan terminations, and retirement plan compliance for FinDec’s clients. This team is the go-to subject matter experts on qualified retirement plan rules and operations – often operating as an internal consulting group, defining and guiding retirement plan specific strategic, operational and product improvements across the company. The team ensures cross-functional alignment in iterating and executing the annual retirement plan administration process, overseeing the retirement plan compliance of FinDec’s clients driving client experience.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Managing the RPA workstream and ensuring all compliance testing work is completed timely with the Relationship Manager Team to include Defined Contribution (DC) plans for both daily valuation and balance forward platforms
Communicate status, risk areas, changes and milestones of team workstreams to senior business leaders
Annually reviewing and revising processes to ensure scalability and efficiency’s
Working closely with the development team to enhance our client experience
Staying abreast of industry trends and ensuring our product evolves with any new changes
Manage cross-functional projects, taking complete ownership from cradle to grave: business case, scope, cost, schedule, action cycles, risks, issues, decisions, interdependencies and milestones.
Consult on projects for function leaders to help devise solutions for their toughest problems
Managing the outsourcing relationship with our offseas team
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, finance, and business-related fields preferred
Client first attitude with utmost honesty and integrity
Broad knowledge of company sponsored benefit plans and
Able to lead review meetings with clients and prospects
Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter takes initiative
Team player, collaborative, ready to work with and through others
Ability and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
REQUIRED
Five plus years in retirement plan administration
Three plus years of retirement plan management experience
ASPPA credentials which may include Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA)
Able to learn/work with DGEM’s, ASC, Schwab Retirement Technology (SRT) and Salesforce Platforms
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily sedentary in nature, no special demands are required. The corporation has multiple regional offices which may require travel to the locations. The position requires the director to work out of the Phoenix, AZ regional office. Occasionally, the director will travel to clients, conference, or the corporate office in Stockton, CA. The director work schedule can be a hybrid of working in the office or from home.
