Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision, provides regulatory affairs support, coordinating or performing a wide variety of administrative and data management activities for research-project goals. Provides regulatory oversight for the Clinical Research Department and assures prompt submission of regulatory and IRB packets for new studies, maintenance of ongoing trials, and regulatory expertise. Maintains communication, attends meetings, and answers questions from all involved parties including regulatory bodies, pharmaceutical and device companies, principal investigators and colleagues. Perform routine billing and revenue tracking support for the research department. Requires excellent communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborates with key staff for planning of research projects from research, testing, billing, hospital services, clinic services, and misc. departments as required for project start up.
Develop, deliver and manage tools to facilitate education and training in the department.
Scheduling of research patients appointments and testing appointments.
Creates, tracks, and maintains all IHC providers’ curriculum vitaes and updates yearly, collaborating with providers and obtaining approval and signatures on an ongoing yearly basis.
Supports and maintains research and educational documentation or the IHC Fellowship Program to maintain compliance in conjunction with the Research Director.
Organizes and assists with ordering and maintenance of supplies for the department.
Assists with shipping of study specimens to outside laboratories for the research team. Maintains dangerous goods certificate as required.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology
