Position: EA to the Junior School Principal

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Executive Assistant for a full-time, in-office 4-week contract position located near the Granville area.

The Executive Assistant will play a key role in supporting administrative initiatives, coordinating events, ensuring compliance with education and risk management standards, and maintaining strong relationships with staff, students, and families. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to help foster a collaborative and efficient school culture.

This role will start on April 22nd and has the potential to extend beyond 4 weeks.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct administrative support to the Director of the Junior School, including calendar management, records oversight, and correspondence preparation.

Assist in organizing and coordinating school-wide events, meetings, and emergency procedures.

Maintain and distribute school communications, including newsletters, calendars, memos, and updates to staff and parents.

Support key functions such as teaching and learning initiatives, professional development, and risk management compliance.

Collaborate with internal departments such as HR, IT, and senior leadership to support school operations.

Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Assist in recruitment activities, including reviewing resumes, job posting edits, and interview scheduling.

Maintain internal documentation such as the Junior School Staff Handbook and event records.

Provide reception coverage during designated times.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in an Executive Assistant or high-level administrative support role.

Previous experience working in an educational or school setting is a strong asset.

Completion of post-secondary education is required.

Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and remain flexible in a changing environment.

Proven discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential matters.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
