Responsibilities
This position is for Office of Admissions and Financial Assistance (OAFA).
Co-support the manager for the implementation of HOMES process.
Create the HOMES guide for proper documentation.
Manage the FA Application process – Application form to Award to Disbursement.
To effectively work with FA Managers and FA Verifiers to complete applicants’ eligibility submission and review for bursaries/study awards to duly process their applications for the award before the end of week 5 from the application date.
Assist in the eligibility review of applications for student financial assistance schemes and make appropriate award recommendation.
Guide students in completing their applications for eligibility assessment.
Manage enquiries received in the Centre’s mailbox.
Support full-time staff in managing award activities.
Assist with the Centre’s day-to-day activities that may be assigned from to-time.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree with at least 1 year of administrative work experience (preference for prior experience in educational industry).
Experience in implementation of operational improvement initiatives preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
Good interpersonal and communications skills (both written and spoken).
Good presentation skills.
Ability to adapt to and be resourceful in managing situations.
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
Meticulous with an eye for details.
Other Information
Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
