About The Role

The role can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide

In this role, you will partner with the Group Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer to ensure the effective management of this office. In addition, this role supports the delivery and embedment of the broader Corporate Affairs and Communications strategy by providing analytical, process and logistics support across the team. This role will also provide support and guidance as a business partner to the Global Corporate Affairs and Communications Leadership Team on administrative matters across the function.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Provide daily high-level support with logistics, email and diary management for the Group Officer, including the coordination and preparation of meetings, along with travel and site visits.

Develop a forward schedule for the Group Officer in respect to time in field, employee engagement, leadership routines and external engagements.

Planning and coordination of the regional Leadership Team, including meetings, preparation of materials and minute taking.

Manage supply and procurement processes for the team, including raising purchase orders, developing contracts and vendor management.

Manage submissions, endorsements and approvals in the Group Officer.

Provide advice and guidance in relation to administrative processes across Global Corporate Affairs and Communications.

Monitor and analyse budget performance for all cost centres owned by the Group Officer.

Collation and contribution to the writing of routine and ad hoc reports.

Assist and support with developing improved procedures and processes across Global Corporate Affairs and Communications.

Provide support for specific projects requiring Corporate Affairs expertise.

Maintain up to date working knowledge of all BHP technology, compliance, training and people systems as they may apply to the broader team.

About You

You will be a highly motivated senior administrative professional with significant experience in supporting a Senior Executive of a large multinational organisation. You will have the natural ability to work autonomously, collaboratively and effectively within a large team, build business rapport, trust and relationships, and act as a positive contributor. You will also be confident working with senior stakeholders across multiple teams, maintaining confidentiality and integrity. Additionally, you will understand and be able to achieve results in environments relating to political, social, and corporate settings.

In addition to the above, we are seeking specific attributes such as:

Proven experience working with teams and leaders in remote environments, with the ability to troubleshoot issues via virtual technology.

Proven ability to work with conflicting priorities and time critical deadlines.
