We are seeking an Office Manager to join our Chicago, IL team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform the Office Leader functions including overseeing other departmental managers, assisting the Division Manager/Sector Manager in managing the revenue and cost for budgeted profitability, hiring and maintaining staff, developing and executing a business growth strategy and required safety culture of branch per Atlas requirements.
Provide market analysis and clear strategic vision for the Indiana operations.
Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to managers within the Chicago/WI operations.
Continuous evaluation of the group’s strengths and weaknesses.
Actively work with other Atlas offices to develop synergies with common clients, work force, etc.
Actively work with national account managers to establish communications for future national account work.
Responsible for key account management of DOT/Toll clients
Develop relationships with new potential clients to maintain a steady backlog of work and increase the existing client base.
Develop teaming arrangements to better position for opportunities
Develop and maintain existing and past clients for future work.
Provide timely responses to all proposals that management determines are worthy of pursuing.
Hiring and managing staff with supervisory responsibilities to include conducting performance reviews.

Minimum requirements:

Minimum 15+ years progressive management experience in the consulting services field.
Minimum 5 years managing large diverse service sector staff.
Undergraduate degree required in either environmental, engineering and/or industrial hygiene fields. Additionally, degrees or certifications (such as MBA in management or finance) are desired.
Must be safety conscious and able to comply with Atlas’ rigorous safety standards.
Should be highly organized, possess good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communicator possessing strong writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of Office Suite, and related programs.
Valid Driver’s License.

Technical requirements:

Able to successfully evaluate business performance using standard financial statements (Profit/Loss Statements, etc.).
Experience with ERP software (Deltek preferably).

Other miscellaneous qualities:

Ability to perform in a high stress environment.
The employee spends most of the time sitting or standing in a comfortable position with ample opportunity to move about. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to read or interpret data as well as having the capacity to communicate (verbally and written) with both company and outside personnel professionally and effectively.
There is a strong emphasis on safety while working both in the office and in the field.
