Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of American Endocrine. This position requires exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to provide comprehensive administrative support to the team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
– Manage and coordinate calendars, schedule appointments, and arrange meetings for team members.
– Answer phone calls, greet patients, and deliver exceptional customer service.
– Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for scheduling and data entry.
– Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage with accuracy.
– Manage office supplies and place orders as needed.
– Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
– Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff.
– Assist with special projects and events as assigned.
– Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
– Promote a positive experience for patients and their families through professional interactions.
Requirements
+ Experience:
– Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting (required).
+ Education:
– High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
+ Skills:
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical record systems.
– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
– Familiarity with medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
