Overview

Executive Assistant Jobs in Washington, DC at LaunchTech

Full Job Description

Experience working within the corporate office of a Federal Government Contractor is REQUIRED.

This means you have supported internal business operations such as executives, HR, finance, or business development—not served as a billable employee assigned to a government site or customer project.

About the Role

LaunchTech is searching for a dedicated, savvy, and forward-thinking Executive Assistant to support our President & CEO. This hybrid position is based in the Washington, D.C. (DMV) area, with most work performed remotely and 2 to 3 days per week on-site or as needed. The role also includes occasional travel to company offices, customer locations, and industry events.

You’ll join a mission-driven company built on service and a Crew that values collaboration, agility, and excellence. If you’re a self-starter with a sharp eye for detail and a can-do mindset, this could be your next career move.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a critical role as both gatekeeper and gateway, streamlining access to the CEO, ensuring smooth communication with stakeholders, and keeping key business functions running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary support for the President & CEO, anticipating needs, managing priorities, and staying steps ahead

Manage an extremely active and dynamic calendar, including appointments, travel arrangements, itineraries, and events

Coordinate executive communications, including drafting correspondence, managing follow-ups, and tracking commitments

Develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and documentation for both internal and external use

Facilitate smooth and timely communication between the executive office and internal/external stakeholders

Maintain and update contact databases, corporate records, certifications, and document repositories

Lead and coordinate special projects across departments with strong initiative, discretion, and follow-through

Conduct research and compile materials for executive presentations, meetings, and board briefings

Provide event, meeting, and travel planning support including logistics, agendas, and on-site coordination

Act as an internal “barometer,” keeping leadership informed of issues, trends, or opportunities within the environment

What You Bring

8+ years of experience working in the corporate office of a Federal Government Contractor or on Federal/Military initiatives (non-billable/internal operations roles only)

8+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant, Paralegal, or similar support role

Bachelor’s degree

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to handle confidential information and high-pressure deadlines with integrity and grace

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and modern productivity tools

Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking skills

Experience supporting C-level leadership and navigating executive-level workflows

Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel as needed

Must be able to obtain (or already hold) a security clearance

Ready to Join the LaunchTech Crew?

If you’re energized by the idea of supporting a visionary CEO, working in a fast-paced mission-driven company, and making a real impact, this is your moment.
