LHH is currently partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization in the Washington, DC area that is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support a C-suite level executive. This is a temporary position, starting as soon as possible, with an initial duration of one month and the potential for extension.
We’re looking for a polished professional with at least 3 years of prior Executive Assistant experience, preferably supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Position Details:
Job Title: Executive Assistant
Location: Washington, DC (on-site 5 days a week)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1 month (potential to extend)
Pay Range: $27–$34/hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level administrative support to a C-suite executive, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination
Manage email correspondence and ensure timely responses on behalf of the executive
Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
Coordinate internal and external communications and liaise with key stakeholders
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of Executive Assistant experience, ideally supporting C-level executives
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience in nonprofit environments is a plus
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
