Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our daycare center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing essential administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. This role involves handling paperwork, organizing schedules, maintaining children’s records, and assisting with communication efforts like newsletters and calendars.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update children’s physical records and ensure compliance with state requirements.
Create and manage staff and child schedules.
Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and activity calendars.
Assist in organizing and filing enrollment paperwork and other documents.
Manage parent communication and assist with event coordination.
Support the management team with clerical tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
Ensure all administrative processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Familiarity with childcare licensing regulations (a plus).
