Overview:
Job Summary:
The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for analyzing and improving our company’s business systems and processes, developing and applying a deep understanding of how VEIC’s financial application features are leveraged to meet business needs. They will work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions and implement changes that will enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. Work may include streamlining processes, creating and updating documentation, and facilitating user acceptance testing.
Location:
This is a hybrid position, and the ideal candidate will be Vermont.
Compensation:
At VEIC, we are committed to pay transparency. The starting pay range for this position will be between $85,000-$95,000. Based on market data, pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and location. Please discuss your intended work location with the recruiter for more information. The total compensation package for this position also includes a full range of medical benefits, 403(b) eligibility with match, Combined Time Off (CTO), Care and Concern leave, Parental leave, wellbeing benefit, a community service day, and eight paid holidays that are effective as of your first day of employment.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Product Planning and Development
Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
Leads the development of functional and technical requirements for software applications and systems.
Leads project teams in system development efforts and data interface needs.
Conducts user acceptance testing to ensure software meets requirements and specifications.
Develops and maintains strategy for system upgrades and maintenance activities.
Education and Training
Continually invests in maintaining subject matter expertise in system functionality and capabilities.
Provides training and support to end-users on systems and processes.
Develops and maintains system documentation, including user manuals and training materials.
Stays current on technologies impacting integrations and reporting of data with VEIC’s core systems.
Corporate Operations Support
Collaborates with VEIC divisions to establish tracking and reporting systems for key organizational metrics.
Analyzes business needs to identify areas for improvement; designs and implements efficient process solutions.
Provides support and strategic troubleshooting for critical software issues and requests, serving as a key escalation point for complex challenges and ensuring rapid, effective resolution.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Experience
Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC.
4-6 years of professional experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Ability to motivate, develop, mentor and engage staff to support VEIC’s mission and division/group goals.
Prior experience working in information system project management.
Experience with a mid-range accounting software package experience required.
Strong desktop computing skills including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel a must.
Demonstrated ability to be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. All positions at VEIC are subject to a criminal background check.
