Southpaw Vets is a new, privately-owned, general practice veterinary clinic located in Sherman Oaks, CA. We are looking to hire for all positions as we develop a team to offer the highest quality of medical care and the best modern veterinary experience to the pets and clients of Los Angeles!
Customer service representatives are the face of the hospital. You are the head and tail of our client’s experience. We place a lot of emphasis on an employee with a good attitude that genuinely wants to help clients. It can be a high-stress environment that requires multi-tasking, problem-solving, liaising, all while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
We are focused on providing a positive, thorough, and efficient client service so that the pet AND the owner have a great experience. Having said that, we will have a zero-tolerance policy for bad behavior.

Requirements:
3+ years experience in the veterinary field
Ability to communicate effectively, calmly, and clearly, with both staff and clients
Strong verbal and written skills
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients
Ability to handle high-stress situations
Strong computer literacy as this is a paperless practice – the majority of the work is done on the computer or with tablets
Job Duties:
Basic customer service duties: greeting clients, answering telephones, and assisting clients with a positive and helpful attitude
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Ensuring the front desk, lobby, exam rooms, and other client spaces are kept clean at all times
Obtaining client information for medical records
Sending and responding to digital messages from clients
Obtaining and processing payments
Communicating professionally and efficiently with the rest of the team (technicians, assistants, and doctors)
