What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The hourly range for this position is $25.57/hour – $38.36. Our starting salary range is $25.57/hour – $31.96/hour. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

A guaranteed life-long monthly pension, once vested after 5 years of service

140 hours of PTO earned within first year + 11 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday and 1 volunteer day per year

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

In this position you can expect to work on site at Wellington Webb Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave., at least three days/week.

What You’ll Do

The Office of Children’s Affairs (

OCA

) supports Denver Agencies, the community and its service providers in ensuring all children and youth have basic needs met, are ready for kindergarten and have the opportunity to succeed academically and professionally.

OCA’s team of 35 is dedicated to Health Initiatives (HI) which includes the on-going development and implementation of strategies to increase access to nutritious food and behavioral health services; Out of School Time (OST) which focuses on high-quality programs which occur outside of school hours; Youth Development (YD) which encompasses early learning and literacy resources, youth transportation, youth violence prevention, mentorship, cultural experiences as well as pathways to post-secondary education and careers; and Denver Great Kids Head Start (DGKHS), a federally-funded program giving young children education support in the early academic years.

OCA is hiring for a full-time, unlimited an Executive Assistant. This is a great opportunity for an exceptional candidate to work in mission-driven, challenging, and fast-paced environment. This position will directly support the Executive Director of the Office of Children’s Affairs and provide support to the leadership team as needed.
