The ideal candidate will have a proven track record supporting a C-level executive—preferably in the tech industry—and understands the demands, pace, and discretion required to operate at the top level of a high-growth startup.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the CEO’s office each morning before arrival (typical start time is 8:00 AM); remain on-site until the CEO leaves for the day, which may extend into early evening hours

On call after hours, including weekends, for urgent tasks such as investor call support or last-minute travel coordination

Assist with building presentation materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and ensure the CEO is fully prepared for meetings

Operate with discretion, efficiency, and attention to detail in all interactions and deliverables

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience supporting a single C-level executive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment (tech startup or tech product company preferred)

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling shifting priorities with minimal oversight

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Tech-savvy and able to understand basic product and industry terminology

Comfortable working on-site five days a week in downtown Chicago, with a flexible schedule to accommodate extended hours as needed

Must have a reliable car and a valid U.S. passport; willingness to travel if necessary

Able to operate with a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion

This is a demanding role that requires dedication, responsiveness, and the ability to think several steps ahead. It is an opportunity to work closely with a dynamic CEO at the heart of a high-growth startup and make a direct impact on their leadership operations.
