Position Overview:
The Construction Administrative Assistant/Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the project team from project award through closeout. Responsibilities include document control, subcontractor and vendor coordination, and reviewing project information to ensure execution aligns with the drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with project setup and maintain organized project files.
Assemble submittal packages by gathering product data, cut sheets, and required documentation based on project requirements.
Draft and track RFIs to resolve discrepancies or obtain clarification from the design team.
Review drawings and specifications to assist with material tracking and compliance.
Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and field staff to support project execution.
Prepare subcontract packages for review and execution.
Attend project meetings, take notes, and follow up on tasks as needed.
Prepare closeout documentation.
Support project managers with day-to-day project tasks.
Qualifications:
Construction or project coordination experience preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud Build and Procore is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications is preferred.
Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
