Pine Street Inn began its journey in 1969, offering a safe alternative to the streets of Boston to approximately 200 men suffering from alcoholism.

Since then, our comprehensive programs and services have expanded to include housing, emergency services, and workforce development to support nearly 2,000 individuals each day. Our mission is to end homelessness by making permanent housing a reality for all.

Position Summary: The Executive Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the people and culture activities and processes. In this role, the employee will ensure the work is completed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with policies and procedures throughout the employee lifecycle. Strong attention to detail is necessary to be successful in this position.

Essential Functions:

Managing schedules and coordinating appointments.

Screening and prioritizing incoming calls and emails.

Drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence and documents.

Organizing and maintaining files and records.

Making travel arrangements and coordinating logistics for business trips.

Planning and coordinating meetings and events.

Taking meeting minutes and preparing reports.

Conducting research and gathering information as needed.

Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Assisting with project management and coordination.

Acting as a liaison between the executive and internal/external stakeholders.

Providing general administrative support such as ordering supplies and managing expenses.

Qualifications:

High school diploma

Proven experience as an executive assistant or other relevant administrative support experience

Experience in the nonprofit environment preferred

Ability to work autonomously with limited direction

Strong organizational skills

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to prioritize daily workload

A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills

Excellent follow-through

Strong understanding of MS Office suite
