Center for Specialty Surgery is an ambulatory outpatient surgery center located in SW Portland, Oregon and is accredited by AAAHC and Medicare certified. Job Duties:

This is a morning shift starting at 8:30am- 5pm.

Managing our day-to-day front office operation – including (but not limited to) greeting patients with a friendly smile, monitoring patient check in/check out process, and collecting payments.
Serving as a front-line point of contact for our patients, answering questions via phone, in-person and e-mail, and scheduling and confirming appointments.
Candidate brings new innovative ideas to the table and providing our clients with world-class customer service.
Demonstrate appropriate time management skills, prioritization, and task completion.
Ability to handle multiple assignments or pieces of work at one time.
Ability to work under deadlines, pressures and interruptions.
Taking prompt and decisive action to produce service levels beyond what is minimally required in the job; Taking action without prompting, shows autonomy; regularly volunteer’s individual energy to a situation
Support the nursing/physician needs in the surgery center
Collect co-payments and cash payments for DME, etc. and maintaining accurate accounting of all monies collected each day through periodic balancing of batches.
Scanning and directing fax, mail, and electronic communication.
Prepping and reviewing charts for the next day to ensure information is accurate and the appropriate forms attached.

Summary: Must have proficient typing/computer skills, ability to update insurance and payment related issues to accounts. Accountable for the accuracy of information obtained through the different roles. Maintains good working relationships and communication with all interdepartmental contacts.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

One year’s experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, preferable in an Ambulatory Surgery Center environment
* Knowledge of general healthcare operations.
