Simply Retrofits is looking for a confident, organized, and business-minded person to support the President of the company across business development, client relationships, events, marketing, and follow-up coordination.
Simply Retrofits has been operating for nearly 10 years and works across multiple related industries, including electrical distribution, energy-efficient lighting, AI technology, and solar. This role is suited for someone who wants exposure to real business activity, client meetings, events, sales conversations, marketing campaigns, and day-to-day company growth.
This is not a standard admin role, not a pure sales role, and not just a social media role. It is a hybrid role for someone who can help organize opportunities, support professional relationships, coordinate follow-ups, and turn meetings and business activity into measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will assist with:
- Supporting the President with business development activities
- Attending selected meetings, networking events, trade shows, client visits, and site visits
- Capturing meeting notes, contact details, business cards, photos, videos, and key follow-up items
- Organizing follow-ups after meetings, events, and client conversations
- Drafting follow-up emails, texts, and LinkedIn messages
- Updating lead trackers, CRM notes, and contact lists
- Helping schedule calls, meetings, demos, and next steps
- Supporting marketing and outreach campaigns across electrical, lighting, AI, and solar-related opportunities
- Creating social media and business content from real company activity
- Helping prepare simple materials before meetings, client visits, and events
- Coordinating with internal team members, customers, suppliers, and business partners when needed

- Able to write clear, professional messages
- Presentable and comfortable attending business meetings or events
- Interested in business, marketing, sales, technology, energy, or entrepreneurship
- Able to work in a role where priorities may shift from day to day
- Willing to learn about lighting, electrical products, AI solutions, and solar

Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organization and follow-up habits
- Ability to attend in-person meetings and events in the GTA
- Comfortable using email, phone, Instagram, LinkedIn, and basic office tools
- Ability to write clear follow-up messages
- Content creation experience is an asset
- CRM experience is an asset, but not required
- Experience in electrical, AI, or solar is not required; training will be provided
Compensation
Part-time to start. Compensation will be based on experience, availability, and ability.
