Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Kansas Legislative Research Department has an opening for an unclassified Administrative Assistant position, which is part of the nonpartisan staff of the Kansas Legislature. Candidates must communicate effectively; work cooperatively; possess computer, telecommunications, and office equipment skills; and complete duties in a timely manner. In addition, the candidate should currently be proficient with basic computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and possess the ability to learn new software, including Open Office; prepare and format Department documents; use templates; create tables and charts; and have the availability to work flexible and over-time hours, as needed. Education: High school diploma or equivalent
