SUMMARY:

If you’re equal parts finance brain and organisational ninja, this Financial and Admin Assistant role is your chance to dig into something big. Our client, an international mining conglomerate, is looking for a hands-on, go-getter to support their tight-knit Head Office team in Johannesburg North. A small office, but big impact and global exposure.

POSITION INFO:

You’ll sit at the intersection of operations, finance and executive support, keeping the Head Office running like a well-oiled mining machine. From supporting the finance team with bookkeeping to managing executive diaries, coordinating Board visits and ensuring that the office runs smoothly daily, you’ll be the glue that holds it all together. Perfect for someone early in their finance career looking for exposure, or an experienced office professional who enjoys variety, responsibility and being at the centre of the action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full administrative and office management support to the Head Office
  • Executive assistance to senior management and visiting Board members (travel, flights, meetings, and lunches)
  • Coordinate boardroom logistics
  • Greet clients and visitors. Manage ad hoc reception duties
  • Oversee cleaning staff, office facilities and general workplace operations
  • Support the finance team with bookkeeping and finance administration
  • Assist with finance and operational projects as required

Job Experience and Skills Required:

  • BCom Degree in Accounting / Finance (completed or in progress) – Seeking finance growth within a corporate environment
  • OR a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting / Business Administration with 5+ years’ experience in accounting
  • Exposure to finance and bookkeeping duties
  • Fluent Mandarin speaking
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented
  • Professional communication skills and confident stakeholder interaction
  • Comfortable working in a small, high-accountability Head Office environment
