OverviewThe Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a Financial Administrator III to join the Accounts Payable Unit. This position will be responsible for reviewing, coding and submitting invoices for payment, payroll delegate which requires reporting assistance, requesting PPA’s and TRC’s changes, purchasing card administration, approving employee expenses and TSF’s and ONL’s. This position will work with department staff, multiple agencies, and outside vendors. Work experience with accounts payable, VISION, STARS, VTHR, Vermont State Policies and all Microsoft Products. This position is required to be in the office with the possibility of some remote work after training.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard office setting.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting AND one (1) year of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing, analyzing and accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards
OR
Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, office administration or a related field AND four (4) years of professional experience in accounting, maintaining, reviewing, analyzing and accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of professional experience in accounting involving maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards.
OR
Two (2) year as a Financial Administrator II with the State of Vermont.
NOTE: CPA certificate is considered qualifying.
Preferred Qualifications
For some positions preference may be given to applicants with supervisory experience.
Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system)may be required.
