ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Performs complex skilled clerical and difficult administrative work assisting an executive with a variety of complex office assistance and administrative tasks through essential functions such as: receiving, screening, and processing telephone calls; assisting the public; assisting in the preparation and monthly balancing of department budget; scheduling appointments; typing, word processing, and data processing duties; maintaining complex and/or confidential records and files; preparing reports; does related work as required. Work is performed under general supervision. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate office assistance personnel.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
•Comprehensive knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and secretarial techniques
•Comprehensive knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic
•Comprehensive knowledge of the organization and functions of the department and of general administrative policies and practices
•Ability to keep office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources
•Ability to perform and organize work independently
•Ability to type and transcribe dictation
•Ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform routine office management details without referral to supervisor
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•High School Diploma or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution and five (5) years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative/office management experience, including one (1) year of administrative or office management experience OR
•Associate Degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Secretarial Science or Business Administration program and three (3) years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative/office management experience, including one (1) year of administrative or office management experience OR
•Bachelor’s Degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related field and six (6) months of administrative or office management experience

Pay: $25.30 – $30.75 per hour
