Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant Jobs in San Antonio, TX at BGE, Inc.

The Administrative/HR Assistant will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department by managing employee records, assisting with recruitment, onboarding new hires, and performing other related tasks to ensure smooth operation of the HR function within the company.

Duties/Responsibilities

Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interview process with hiring managers and preparing offer letters or contracts.
Support the onboarding process by launching new hire paperwork and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
Input new employees into the payroll and benefit administration systems.
Monitor electronic time and attendance records and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Respond to employment verification requests.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Provides clerical support to the HR department.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Provide administrative support to the COO on an as-needed basis
May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in a related field required
Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, ideally within an HR department
Prior related office experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
