The Role

This role is the first point of contact for clients and provides essential administrative support to a busy accounting firm in Black Forest. The position combines front-of-house responsibilities with general office administration and, depending on experience, may extend to accounting administration and compliance support (ATO and ASIC). There is opportunity for long-term growth within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reception, including greeting clients, handling calls, scheduling appointments and maintaining a professional front-of-house environment
  • Provide general administrative support, including email management, document preparation, data entry, invoicing and mail coordination
  • Maintain client records and practice management systems
  • Assist with client onboarding and end-of-job processes (collation of tax returns and financial statements)
  • Support ATO and ASIC compliance tasks, including lodgements, correspondence and annual reviews (where experienced)
  • Prepare establishment documentation for companies, trusts and SMSFs (where experienced)
  • Provide administrative assistance to senior staff as required

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in reception, administration or customer service
  • Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Professional presentation and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Experience in an accounting or professional services environment, and familiarity with Xero, ATO/ASIC portals or compliance software, is advantageous but not essential.
