Office Assistant/Shipping Clerk
Meta Tech Industries is looking for an office assistant who, under minimal guidance of the management team, shall perform a variety of administrative/shipping functions. The office assistant shall perform the following functions:
Responsibilities
Maintain excel spreadsheets used to track jobs in shop and open orders.
Prepare Certificates of Compliance for shipments
Reconcile credit card monthly, enter basic transactions in QuickBooks & shop system (E2).
Organize, type, collate and file sensitive material.
Create shop routers (with management guidance) for incoming customer orders.
Answer incoming calls (external and internal) to the office in a highly professional manner and forward calls, take messages or resolve calls as warranted on an individual basis.
Work with customer provided specifications to make sure parts are shipped properly.
Operate office equipment, including but not limited to: document scanners, telephones, intercoms, phones, label printers, and cameras.
Assisting in shop – preparing parts to ship, including wrapping, marking & boxing.
Monitor daily shipments and ensure customer orders are shipped in an appropriate and timely manner.
Provide support to other projects or tasks as required.
Skills/Qualifications
MUST HAVE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN ADMIN WORK
MUST BE PROFICIENT WITH MS EXCEL/COMPUTERS
Ability to adapt to changes in procedures and assignments.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize simultaneous workflow duties.
High School diploma, some college preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
