$19.19
Performance Pay:
Available annually
New hire experience:
1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a five-year maximum
New hire education:
1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

OVERVIEW:
To provide administrative and clerical support to school site administrator and assigned personnel; to communicate information regarding school and/or district functions; and to ensure compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements of assigned functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School education or equivalent required
Previous related work experience with public school experience preferred
Moderate proficiency in typing, with good accuracy; above average test battery
Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc)
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, site personnel, district personnel and general public
Must enjoy working with students, teachers and parents and have an understanding of pupil problems
Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions in absence of site administrator
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain confidentiality
Ability to organize, prioritize, take initiative, direct own workload and meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision
Knowledge of school district policies and procedures beneficial
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform secretarial functions (i.e. typing, filing, recordkeeping, etc) for the purpose of assisting school administrator and assigned personnel
Respond to inquiries (students, parents, teachers, district personnel, general public, etc) to communicate procedures, information and/or direction and/or to evaluate situations to take appropriate action according to established guidelines
Compile data from a variety of sources (i.e. timesheets, requisitions, student enrollment, student attendance, cash deposits, etc) and prepare reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial, legal and/or administrative requirements
Compose documents and/or written materials (i.e. correspondence, newsletters, memos, minutes, etc) to communicate and convey information to students, parents, teachers, etc
Process and/or prepare documents and materials (i.e. PARFs, requisitions, timesheets, transcripts, incoming/outgoing mail, etc) to disseminate information in compliance with district, state and/or federal regulations
Schedule and coordinate activities (i.e. appointments, meetings, calendars, etc) for assigned personnel
Secure substitute personnel, as needed, to ensure staffing requirements are met for the efficient operation of site activities
Establish and maintain accurate site files and records in accordance with district, state and/or federal regulations
Maintain and order supplies and materials ensuring availability; monitor budget expenditures in compliance with district, state and/or federal guidelines
Regular and on-time attendance required
Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
May direct or guide other personnel assigned to site
Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities

Clerical test administered on line: Once you submit your application, a link to our on-line test will be emailed to you. Testing takes approximately 35 minutes. (Data Entry test -10 minutes)
Clerical Test required for this position: Application is considered incomplete and will not be eligible for consideration if clerical test results are not on file with Human Resources by closing date.
