Terms of employment: 220-day Calendar/Summer months required
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Two years of college preferred.
Secretarial skills.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge and experience in basic office procedures and small office equipment.
Must have excellent communication and telephone etiquette. The ability to work successfully with other professionals.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities:
Prompt and regular attendance.
Provides customer service to schools and parents on a variety of student assignment related issues.
Assist with registration of new and returning students and requests records from school previously attended.
Receive and record information from transcript.
Assist with student withdrawal and assure appropriate paperwork is disbursed.
Assist with student schedules and schedule changes.
Assist with pre-registration of 8th graders.
Assist with the Guidance Department on record requests.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of report cards.
Provides information to new students and their families the availability and requirements of school activities such as clubs and athletics.
Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Superintendent of Schools.
