Role Description

Tax Bears is seeking a Junior Administrative Tax Assistant to join our team in Pleasanton, CA. As a Junior Administrative Tax Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to senior staff, managing data entry and documentation, and corresponding with clients.

Answer phone calls
Organize and schedule appointments.
Tax Data entry, Software, Excel
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms
Develop and maintain a filing system.
Update and maintain office policies and procedures.
Document Control
Provide general support to visitors.
Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients

This is a contract role that requires on-site work in our Pleasanton, CA office.

Qualifications

High School Degree Required. Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and experience with tax preparation software is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
Ability to complete tasks with high attention to detail, often working under deadlines
Experience providing administrative and clerical support in an office setting
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work on-site in Pleasanton, CA
Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, or Office Admin Assistant
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to Multi-Task
Ability to work independently with instruction
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent computer skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.42 – $22.60 per hour
