Skagit Farmers Supply, a local cooperative since 1934 based in Burlington, WA, serves farmers, homeowners, businesses, families, and the communities in the Pacific Northwest. The company operates Agronomy, Propane, Refined Fuels and Wholesale divisions as well as retail Country Store locations in Washington and Montana. The company is seeking candidates for an Administrative Specialist at its Main Office in Burlington, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Ideal candidates will possess an extremely high level of attention to detail, initiative, discretion and independent judgment with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Perform general accounts payable and receivable duties with a high degree of accuracy for multiple divisions.
Reconcile customer and vendor accounts.
Assist customers with billing, service and payment questions.
Assist with answering incoming calls and redirect them as appropriate.
Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with Windows operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
Proven track record of being dependable, with the ability to self-manage, exercise good judgment and exhibit a desire to grow professionally.
Lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
College courses in accounting, business administration or similar field of study
3+ years’ experience performing general administrative duties
Possess intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
Full time, 40 hours per week position. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Qualified applicants must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$25.00 – $30.00/hour.
