Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Answer phones and assist callers with their needs, take detailed messages, and/or direct callers to the proper team member for assistance
– Greet families coming in for arrangements or any visitors that come into the funeral home
– Schedule appointments for families to make final arrangements
– Assist funeral directors and other staff, as needed
– Input data and information into industry specific software
– Diligently monitor the progress of death records and follow up with the appropriate individuals to ensure all documents are completed in a timely manner
– Create and print memorial materials for visitations and funeral services
– Serve as a compassionate point of contact for families and individuals while taking first calls and gathering the appropriate information
– Generate invoices, receive, and log payments according to company policy
– Accurately maintain and update files

Skills:
– Knowledge of basic computer programs (i.e., Microsoft office programs, email, google, etc.)
– High level of compassion and integrity
– Great written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow up in a timely manner
– Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
