GEM Operations Support Specialist Jobs in Remote at Southern New Hampshire University

Junior IT Technician / Admin (in-office)

We are looking for someone who is starting their IT career. This position will be comprised of Entry level IT and support work while learning skills in networking and enterprise IT management. In addition, there will be work to assist in logistical work of checking in orders of equipment, assisting with configuration and assisting in gathering and shipping equipment for site implementations across the US. This position will also require travel in the Houston metro area.

Essential Functions

Assistance in management of inventory of information technology parts and systems.
Immediate activity in learning to support IT systems.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Access to reliable transportation for visits onsite to client locations multiple times weekly. (Mileage is reimbursed)
Pleasant and polite demeanor.

Qualifications and Other Aspects

The candidate must possess a relevant combination of education, experience and training that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field preferred
A+ Certification is required (can be obtained within 6 months of employment.
One year of experience in desktop support is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communications
Advanced skillset in time management and task prioritization
Desire to integrate more expertise in the near future

Work Environment:

Although based in the corporate office, this position may require some travel to outlying store locations.
In office -Work in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Remote work on client systems.
