This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC – Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 805 Ruggles Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603.
This position serves as primary executive support to the Director, Deputy Director and Assistant Director. This position will serve as the primary support for travel-related activities and purchases for all ORH programs and staff. This position will provide general administrative support to all ORH programs as needed but will provide direct support to the ORH Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director. Highly effective execution of duties will include the application principles and practices of public and business administration as they apply to the delivery of health care. Highly effective execution of duties will also include the ability to understand ongoing, demonstration, and pilot programs administered by ORH.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Demonstrated ability to deliver advanced executive-level support to senior leadership, including but not limited to managing complex scheduling, coordinating committees, councils and board meetings, tracking attendance, recording and distributing detailed meeting minutes, organizing travel arrangements, processing travel forms, and handling event logistics such as meals and accommodations.
Exceptional capacity to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information and exercise sound judgment in handling confidential communications.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) for creating polished documents, presentations, reports, and schedules efficiently and accurately.
Expertise in managing virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or WebEx, with the ability to plan, host, and troubleshoot virtual events effectively.
Proven ability to perform high-level office administrative tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to organizational policies.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Completion of high school or equivalent with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including at least one year supporting C-level or senior executives; OR Completion of a two-year degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related field, combined with three years of progressively responsible executive-level administrative experience; OR Completion of a four-year degree in business administration, public administration, or a related discipline, with at least six months of administrative or office management experience supporting C-level executives or equivalent roles; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrated advanced administrative and executive support capabilities.
