Front Office Manager / Assistant General Manager

At The Scooby Shack, we’re more than just a pet resort — we’re a home away from home for our furry guests, and we’re looking for a Front Office Manager / Assistant General Manager to help lead our incredible team with heart, hustle, and a love for all things pawsitive.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the face of our resort, you’ll ensure that every pet parent and their beloved companion feels welcomed, valued, and well cared for. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside our front office team to manage daily operations, support client communication, and keep everything running like a well-oiled tail-wagging machine.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist pet parents during check-in/check-out for daycare, boarding, and grooming services
Provide oversight and support for front desk team members, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient daily workflows
Use Gingr software to manage client profiles, track services, process payments, and handle scheduling for grooming, behavior evaluations, and boarding reservations
Answer phones, texts, and emails with professionalism and warmth
Maintain accurate records, coordinate with other departments, and proactively solve problems as they arise
Assist with pet handling, including walking dogs in/out of the lobby and supervising play in our Small Dog Room
Help care for our boarding cats: feeding, medicating, litter sifting, and providing love and attention
Train and coach new team members, fostering a positive, pet-loving culture

What We’re Looking For:

A natural leader with strong people skills and a detail-oriented mindset
Quick learner who’s comfortable with multitasking in a lively environment
Previous experience in a front desk, customer service, or pet care role is a big plus
Familiarity with Gingr or similar pet care software preferred, but not required — we’ll train the right person!
Must love animals and be confident around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
